Life of Peace
WELCOME!! If you are a guest with us here at Peace Church, welcome! Our prayer is that you find our family of faith warm and welcoming and that you consider joining us again soon. Below are announcements about the many ways we are involved in our community and how we seek to bless it. If you have any questions or want to get involved in anything you read about below, don’t hesitate to ask me or call or text my cell phone at (936) 520-7711. And if there is ever anything at all we can do for you, please just ask. Thanks so much for joining us today! Blessings In Christ, Scott Cummings, Pastor
Mosaic Reminders! First, if you come in late or early and worship is going on, feel free to come on in and go back to a back Sunday School room or just come sit in the cushy arm chairs in the back of the sanctuary. Everyone else, please try and leave those chairs open for early or late-comers and guests! Second, please remind your older children that the nursery is for ages 4 and under during worship. I know the new toys look really fun, but we must only have volunteers who are 13 years and older, adults, and young children in there during worship times. Also, BE CAREFUL WITH SPILLS, SINCE THE FLOOR IS SLICK WHEN WET! Thanks!
PeaceKids Sunday School! We have TWO classes for kids & youth: PreK - 4th grade, and 5th - 12th grade. Elementary Class meets in the larger classroom and the Youth Class meets in the very back room at Mosaic. Your kids will love it and YOU’LL love one of our adult classes below!

“APP” SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS: Join the “APP” Class, as in “application”! We’ll look at scriptures from the sermon each week and talk about how to apply them to our lives. Pastor Scott Cummings leads it, so you can just show up! Bring your kids to their classes and enjoy studying God’s Word! Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:15AM in the office of Mosaic.
Weeknight Small Group: The Weeknight Small Group has resumed its normal schedule of meeting every other week. Someone hosts the small group at their home, everyone gathers for dinner (hosts provide the main dish, others bring sides, dessert, etc.) and then have a Bible study based on the sermon scriptures from the Sunday before. Two different families will host the group for a specific course (appetizer, main dish) and the party progresses to each house throughout the night ending at Mosaic with the rest of the church for the gift exchange. Let Pastor Scott know if your youth can attend and/or if you’d like to be one of the hosts for the evening.
Greater Expectations - Advent Sermon Series: At Christmas time we wait with anticipation for all the wonderful gifts we will receive that special morning. And it is a blessing to give gifts of love, and to receive them from those who love us. But God offers us a greater gift: Christ himself! As we prepare to receive that gift this year, we’ll dive into how the prophet Isaiah predicted this greater gift and the joy, peace, love, and hope that he would bring. Join us! This sermon series runs from December 1st - 22nd.
Forgotten Angels Christmas Gifts: Peace Church will be furnishing gifts for some of the Forgotten Angels in Pearland. Every year, Forgotten Angels Foundation holds a Christmas celebration for the Angels in our care. And each year, members of the community adopt an Angel by becoming their secret Santa and purchasing two small gifts--one for the party, and one for them to open Christmas morning. On the angel, you will see gift suggestions, buying instructions and date it should be returned back to Mary Wilmarth or Phyllis Herrington or the church office (Sunday, December 8th). You can also donate Walmart & Target gift cards for $25. For additional info, contact Mary Wilmarth at 832-282-5181 (cell).
